Hi, my name is Tanya! When I was 18 years old I left home and went to Chicago on a train to volunteer at an emergency family shelter. When I came back I finished my diploma in social work and started working with impoverished youth. After a few years I started a program in environmental planning to help protect the planet. A believer in the healing power of plants, I am an eco enthusiast for all things botanical. Gloeiende was created as a way of offering a fresh and modern experience of natural perfumery as well as simple and clean skin care products that use plant-based oils and essences to bring out your best glow - straight from the mooie gloed skin care garden, which you can learn all about in the glower's blog!

THE GLOEIENDE STORY
My Oma is 95 and still sharp and sweet with the most beautiful skin! You would think she's had a stress-free life by her minimal wrinkles and upbeat attitude, but quite the opposite. Growing up in Holland during the war, she immigrated to Canada in search of a better life leaving everything behind but the stories. Inspired by her Dutch glow and grit, which was passed down to my mother and instilled in me and my sister growing up, Gloeiende represents the "mooie gloed" - this strong yet soft beautiful glow within all of us, waiting to shine. Life can and will throw all sorts of things at us to dim this light, but we owe it to ourselves (and each other) to keep shining. Our products are designed to nurture this "mooie gloed" beautiful glow by using natural and essential oils, flower and beauty berry distillates and gemstones, for positive energy and radiance.

Gloeiende perfumes are hand crafted in small batches without the chemicals found in so many commercial scale perfumes, but still have staying power and offer a modern take to natural perfumery.
Gloeiende skin care line is made using pure oils, essences and distillates that allow your skin to breath and stay healthy amidst the various irritants, pollutants and negativity that we can encounter on a daily basis.
